I studied zoology at the University of Liverpool and gained a Masters in Natural History Illustration from the Royal College of Art, London.
Working as an in-house artist and mural painter took me from Chester Zoo to East Africa – where I illustrated the guidebook for Kibale Forest National Park, Uganda, and produced designs and posters for the East Africa Wildlife Society.
I now split my time between working as a wildlife artist, illustrator and printmaker in my studio and working as wildlife guide and expedition leader on small, specialist, expedition cruise ships. Each year, during the Austral summer, this role takes me to the Antarctic Peninsula and South Georgia, and the coast of South America, before heading north to cruise the UK, Norwegian and Arctic shorelines and swapping sightings of penguins and albatross for ivory gulls and polar bears. My knowledge and access to wild places and its animal life inspires and infuses my work.
My work as a printmaker, photographer, illustrator, mural painter and more information can be seen on her personal website, which is here.
